Poll on topic for Dr. Beeke

As you know, Dr. Joel Beeke is coming to Lansing on November 2oth. I checked in to see what he wanted to speak about and he gave me five great ideas. I wanted to respond "All five!" but we want to be respectful of Dr. Beeke's time. Therefore I put a poll on the sidebar with the five topic ideas, please vote for the topic you would most like Dr. Beeke to address. Poll close in one week.

Mid-Michigan Conference on Reformed Theology

Coming in October, Dr. Jack Collins will be presenting a conference on "Christianity and the Sciences" at Calvary Presbyterian in Flint. Looks to be an interesting one day conference and very affordable at $12 per person. Dr. Collins teaches at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis and was Old Testament Chairman for the English Standard Version. Check it out at the webpage for Calvary Presbyterian or click here for the brochure.

Off to a great start!

Our first meeting went very well. Looking at Romans 1: 16-32, our three presenters did a marvelous job. We had some serious study on display from those three brothers, really getting deep into the text. What I was really pleased about was the quality of the interaction. We had about twenty people show up, which is pretty decent for a Saturday in summer and a first meeting, and they needed little prompting to start peppering our panelists with questions. They probably still would be going if we hadn't cut them off!

We all came away very encouraged and looking forward to getting back together in November when Dr. Joel Beeke visits Lansing to address the Mid-Michigan Reformation Society!
